Shima Goudarzi is senior researcher and lecturer at the institut of Renewable Energy Systems at the University Of Applied Scieneces Vienna (Technikum Wien). She studied mechanical engineering and received her PhD from the technical university of Vienna (TU Wien) in 2014.

She also has six years of experience as technical manager at a building energy planning company in Austria, focusing on thermally activated buildings (Baueilaktivierung). She and her group were awarded the 2019 State Prize for Sustainability (Staatspreis Architektur und Nachhaltigkeit) as one of the most prestigious prizes in Austria.

Her current research interests are: Energy efficiency in buildings, plus-energy buildings and neighborhoods, buildings energy planning, thermaly activated buildings.
